Our Story

Men need to feel confident to be confident.

At SEAL, we understand that life's little changes can sometimes affect the way we feel about ourselves. One issue that many men experience, but few talk about, is the occasional drip or dribble after using the bathroom.

For many men, these changes begin after the age of 50. Conditions such as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), more commonly known as an enlarged prostate, affect hundreds of thousands of Australian men every day.

As the prostate enlarges, it can place pressure on the bladder and urinary tract. This may lead to symptoms such as a weaker flow, difficulty starting or stopping, frequent trips to the bathroom, and the frustrating feeling that you've completely finished—only to discover a few unexpected drips moments later.

It's not a serious issue for everyone, but it can be an annoying one.

Whether you're heading into an important meeting, playing a round of golf, enjoying a day at the races, or simply going about your daily routine, nobody wants to be standing under a hand dryer trying to disguise a small wet patch on their trousers.

We know, because we've been there.

SEAL was created to provide discreet, comfortable protection that helps men get on with life confidently. No bulky products. No embarrassment. Just quality underwear withe a premium blend of Modal, cotton and merino wool fabrics, designed to help manage those everyday moments that many men experience but few discuss.

Confidence isn't about pretending problems don't exist.  Confidence is about knowing you've got them covered.

Why We Created SEAL

Like many men, our founder, discovered that while there were plenty of products available for incontinence, there was very little designed for men who simply needed a little extra confidence and protection throughout the day.

He wasn't looking for bulky pads or products that made men feel older than they were. He wanted something discreet, comfortable, and designed specifically for everyday drips and dribbles that can occur as men age or experience prostate-related conditions.

The concept was simple: create underwear that moves moisture away from the body, captures it within a dedicated absorbent barrier, and provide a protective layer to help prevent those embarrassing outward leaks that can affect confidence.  All this and they must be super comfortable as well.  That's why we choose a blended mix of Modal, cotton and Merino wool.

Determined to create a product he would wear himself, our founder set out on a mission to find the right manufacturing partner. He travelled to China, meeting with five suppliers, touring factories, reviewing production standards, and personally evaluating the quality of each operation.

The journey wasn't quick. Eleven prototypes were developed, tested, documented, refined, and tested again. Every adjustment was made with one goal in mind — creating underwear that looked and felt like normal premium underwear while providing discreet protection when it was needed most.

Eventually, we found a trusted manufacturing partner that shared our commitment to quality, consistency, ethical production standards, and attention to detail.
Today, SEAL underwear combines carefully selected materials, including premium Modal fabric, to deliver softness, comfort, breathability, support, and protection.  It has been refined to a product we're proud to put our name on.

Most importantly, SEAL is proudly 100% Australian owned and operated.

We're not trying to compete with the incontinence market.

We're simply helping bridge the gap for men who don't need a medical solution — just a little extra confidence.  We have 3 levels of protection, so matter where your journey may be - we are there to help with support.  In some case, men may not be able to avoid more bulkier medical style products or pads.  But until then, we are here to offer a simple solution for a comfortable protective and washable underwear.

And while we're proud of the product we've created, we're even prouder of the conversations it can start. Men shouldn't feel embarrassed discussing prostate health, urinary issues, or the changes that can come with age. By talking openly, supporting one another, and seeking help when needed, we can all play a part in improving men's health outcomes.

On our journey, we are also pleased to be supporting the work of Beyond Blue and Prostate health research for Australian men.  Please visit our Men's health section.

From our family to yours, thank you for supporting an Australian-owned business that was built with a goal to improve the quality of men's health and well being.

Life changes. We designed underwear for that.
